I usually visit Texas Autism Academy twice a year to capture their students and teachers. It is always a fun time. Each student has a mini-session with some traditional and non-traditional poses. We encourage the students to move around and show us their favorite poses. You can see the joy on their faces when it’s time to show us their poses. Letting them relax and be themselves ensures that we get their best “real” smiles. I get to hear lots of stories from and about each student during our mini sessions. The teachers are great at coaxing the kids to have fun–they know just how to get them to laugh.
We create class photos as group shots but I also create a school composite with every student’s and teacher’s favorite individual pose. I love to see everyone’s personalities in the school composite.
