I am engaged with many of my clients throughout the year as they plan their marketing and social media content. We may meet up quarterly or biannually to create updated head shots or capture new product images. Sometimes the session’s aim is to build up image content for upcoming marketing campaigns or specific Instagram posts. Planning is crucial in marketing, making sure you have the right images at the right time is key.
One client that does this extremely well is Jillian O’Neill, of Jillian O’Neill Interiors. Jillian not only schedules time with me to photograph her new Collection pieces as they are prepared to launch, but she also books sessions in between to ensure that she has content for her website, blog and social media accounts in between. She is the queen of multitasking so with some detailed planning in advance we are able to meet up and capture all kinds of images that she can use in multiple ways. She can take these images and create lifestyle posts, design inspiration posts, product specific posts, engagement posts with other businesses, posts for upcoming holidays, giveaway campaigns, or just give herself a little shoutout.
We captured all of these images in the office space of Jillian O’Neill Interiors. However, we’ve also had sessions where we hop around town with some clothing changes and various props and fit in quite a lot of diverse locations. It all comes down to planning. Knowing what your upcoming marketing looks like and then determining the images you will need to capture.
