I love when I get to be a part of special moments between grandparents and their little loves. The Higgins family and I shared some time in the sunshine, playing in the trees and exploring the trains in Tomball, TX. Not sure if the beautiful, spring-like day put everyone in a good mood or if these little ones are always so sweet, but the setting was perfect to make some memories.
The children ranged in age from 11 down to 1, but you’ll see that we had smiles throughout. Aside from the youngest, who would need to be held for group shots, we really could take advantage of the benches, the fountain and the pavilion by the depot. We wandered and stopped as the kids’ attention shifted around the park and found moments for each child to have the spotlight. Little Miss was happy to dance in the pavilion, while the younger boys romped around on the picnic tables and the littlest one enjoyed standing by the fence near the old train.
I find the truest smiles always come when kids are allowed to lead. I follow along and try my best to keep us in the sunshine. And when the kids are engaged the grandparents can just soak in the experience and enjoy all the hugs and kisses.
