A couple of people have asked about the new Sony RX100 V camera that I just bought so I thought I would give an update. I’ve been wanting a more compact camera that I can put into a pocket or small purse instead of lugging my 5Ds everywhere. I’ve been using my iPhone to take video and quick pictures and I’m sick of being disappointed with the poor image quality every time I do that. After a bit of research I decided to go with Sony’s newest RX100 update. So far, I have been very impressed and happy with it. This small camera can take RAW images but also has wi-fi capability so I can share shots on the fly and the video is amazing. The RX100 shoots 4K video and can record movies in super slow motion at up to 960 fps (40x normal frame rate). Pretty awesome! I shot the first clip in my family room when I first took the camera out of the box and the second clip was shot in our pool using a water housing that I bought separately (I’ll have to write about that later).

I used Final Cut software to compress the videos for sharing.
