It’s always fun to photograph itty-bitty babies. And even more so when you know the family well and can share in the joy of their new addition. I photographed baby Henry’s older brother Augie as a newborn a couple of years ago when they added a fourth boy to the mix. Sadly, I had to watch them move away. But then I very happily welcomed them back to The Woodlands with a new little sister, Miss Gemma, in tow and with baby #6 on the way.
It’s definitely a case of “I don’t know how they do it!” when I hang out with them: five boys and one girl and somehow sanity still prevails at their house. Bernadette, being the creative soul that she is, had wonderful ideas for the session and I’m always game to help achieve a client’s vision.
While Henry didn’t want to cooperate with us for some of them (“Gosh, for a newborn he really loves being naked outdoors!”, said no one ever), he really was a perfect little sleepy model to let us capture so many precious images. I look forward to seeing this little guy grow up with the rest of the clan–but not too fast! There may not be a #7 for this family so we’ll have to enjoy all his sweet baby-ness while we can.
